"Hooper" x "Emma"
BISS Amer, Can Ch. Clarion's Bad As I Wanna Be, MH, WC, CGC, Can. MH, WCX x Tealwood's Minuette En Bleu (champion pointed)
Sire: OFA hips (good) & Wind Morgan hips, elbows, shoulders, hocks; Eyes ACVO clear, Cardiac OFA & Wind Morgan clearance; Optigen "A" DNA clear, retinal folds clear @ 7 weeks Dam: OFA hips excellent, OFA elbows, CERF 10/03 (See below for link to Pedigree) I'm really excited about this breeding, looking for some nice show prospects and exceptionally intelligent dogs capable of excelling at virtually any performance competition ... obedience, agility and field work. In spite of both parents exhibiting this enthusiasm, trainability and that competitive edge, they both are very calm, loving family companions ... the best of all worlds and true dual-purpose dogs. Emma is OFA excellent on hips, OFA elbows and her eyes were CERF'ed in 2002 (will be re-done this fall). Emma's mama Summer and granddaddy Gator are both rated "excellent" on hips as well as cleared on elbows. Hooper has virtually all genetic clearances possible; OFA good on hips; Wind Morgan clear on hips, elbows, shoulders & hocks; OFA and Wind Morgan cardiac clearances; eyes clear of retinal folds @ 7 weeks, eyes ACVO clear annually, Optigen "A" DNA tested clear of PRA; even a thyroid clearance. Hooper is a delightful, affectionate dog with a great sense of humour. He's proven his proper "type" with a Best in Specialty Show win, American & Canadian show championships and his trainability and working ability in the field. He got his AKC Junior Hunter title at 15 months, his Senior at 26 months and his Master Hunt title just over 3 years. He also has his AKC Working Certificate and Canine Good Citizen title, and Canadian Master Hunter and Advanced Working Certificate in the field. Emma is a lovely girl with a gorgeous head and expression, outstanding pigment, good substance, particularly good rear quarters, a sweet, loving disposition and strong retrieving/hunting instincts. She's AKC champion pointed with only a few times in the ring and hope to start training for a JH next year as well as return to the showring. Her granddaddy "Gator" obtained his Hunting Retriever title in 3 consecutive tests and his Hunting Retriever Championship title in 4 consecutive tests ... both at under 18 months of age, then went on to Junior Hunter title and Grand Hunting Retriever Champion. These will be strong dual-purpose puppies! Puppies will be available to approved show and/or pet homes and select breeders. Currently taking deposits. If interested, please e-mail inquiry, including a synopsis of what type of puppy you are looking for, your lifestyle, facilities and purpose and plans for acquiring a dog, or call 715-643-7313. All puppies guaranteed, well socialized, vaccinated, de-wormed, dew claws removed. UPDATE: Emma whelped 8 nice strong little puppies in about 2.5 hours early Sunday morning, December 28. The first 7 puppies were black (4 females, 3 males), then finally came a yellow female! Emma's a wonderful mama and the puppies weight gains have been tremendous in the first couple days. Black are hard to photograph so please be patient if I don't post good pictures of all.
