I'm very excited about this breeding. It will be my beautiful Clarice's first litter and I'm hoping we will
combine the very best of both parents. I finished Clarice all breeder/owner handled at just over 2 years of age; she's a lovely bitch with
strong working/retrieving instincts and sweet temperament. "James" is a son of "Study", a gorgeous young dog who is here from Puerto Rico,
staying with Mary Wiest. He is superbly balanced with good angles front and rear, a strong topline with tailset right off the back, good coat
and elegant reach of neck. James finished his American Championship with 3 specialty wins from the classes!
This litter has strong potential for some nice show prospects; pups should also be geared to obedience, agility,
hunting and wonderful family companions. The pedigree is also impressive on orthopedics, with a whopping 25.8% OFA excellent hips in 5
generations and 100% elbow clearances in the first 3 generations.
All puppies guaranteed, well
socialized, vaccinated, de-wormed, and vet checked.
UPDATE:
Clarice whelped a bit early on June 16. In spite of being an easy whelping and Clarice doing a wonderful job,
we lost 4 of the 8 puppies. Very sad. There was a underdeveloped puppy way in the back that had been dead a while; I believe the toxins
from that puppy killed the other puppies in that uterine horn, as every other puppy was born dead. Luckily, the others were very strong and all
are gaining and doing well. We have 2 girls and 2 boys.
More of the sire's ancestors will be added to this litter page as soon as time allows.
