Tealwood is expecting some lovely puppies with proper type, temperament and lots of talent from this cross, i.e., great family and hunting companions and show prospects. Pedigree is very strong on hip ratings, eye clearances, with no known incidents of epilepsy, allergies, cardiac or other problems. Sire is champion pointed, very dark coat and eye, excels in intelligence, talent and movement … a true alpha male! At 10 years of age, Major still moves like a dream, cleared his ACVO eye exam in August and has sperm count and mobility like a kid! Longevity is a great asset! He goes back to some nice Poolstead and Follytower breeding and is doubled up on the very impressive Amer, Can, Mex, 1978 World, Int'l Champion Franklin's Golden Mandigo, CD, WC. Dam (from Dickendall and Cedarwood lines) has lovely temperament and outstanding coat, substance, topline, tail and tailset. This is a repeat of a year 2000 breeding from which I kept a chocolate male, Louie, who I believe got the best of both parents and show tremendous potential for obedience competition and hunting titles as well as the confirmation ring. Zooty delivered 9 lovely little puppies via a planned c-section Monday morning, October 8, 2001 ... 3 chocolate females, 2 black females, 1 chocolate male and 3 black males. Thanks to the wonderful staff at the Stillwater Veterinary Clinic who specialize in reproductive issues! Mama and puppies are all doing well!
