Tealwood is expecting a very nice litter of yellow puppies with proper type, temperament and talent from this cross, i.e., great family and hunting companions and show prospects. Both parents have certifications on hips, elbows and eyes, and there are no known incidents of epilepsy, allergies, or cardiac problems in the pedigree. Sire is rated "good" on hips; dam and her daddy are rated "excellent" on hips, with other "excellent" ratings in pedigree.

Sire, a beautiful dog with impressive Specialty placements, never finished his championship due to an injury as a puppy. He has, however, produced many champions including the 1997 Westminster winner, CH Ridge View Heartland Hit Man. "Bleu" has a beautiful head/expression, nice balance, topline and anglulation, great substance and coat, and wonderful temperament. Dam is a lovely girl with good substance, coat, pretty feminine head and expression, and a loving, playful disposition. She contributes high intelligence and strong natural instincts to this breeding; her daddy "Gator" obtained his Hunting Retriever title in 3 consecutive tests and his Hunting Retriever Championship title in 4 consecutive tests ... both at under 18 months of age.

Six lovely puppies were born January 26, 2001 ... 3 males and 3 females. It was an easy whelping and all are healthy and strong. Great coats, tails, very nice heads, lots of bone and substance, and look like pigment will be good. Puppy pictures will be added as the weeks go by, so check back frequently.
