There's a good possibility of all three colors in this litter. Gizmo obviously offers the gene for yellow and there's a 50% chance that Lydia got the yellow recessive from her mama. Lydia definitely carries the chocolate recessive and there's a 50% chance that Gizmo got the chocolate recessive from his daddy. This will be Gizmo's first litter. He's a charming, very compact, well-muscled dog with a gorgeous head, expression and pigment. Gizmo has a ton of coat, good bone, strong topline and nice angulation ... a particularly good, powerful rear. Lydia is a moderate bitch with correct coat, balance, correct angulation front and rear, strong topline and nice movement. Both are strong retrievers, intelligent and loving companions. Gizmo had prelims on his hips at 19 months which looked fine, and he has 3 consecutive generations of OFA "excellents" behind him ... his mama, grandma and great-granddaddy. He has an OFA cardiac clearance and is Optigen Normal by parentage. Lydia is OFA good, OFA elbows, Optigen tested Normal. Eyes cleared on both.
